Chapter President David Anspach brought the meeting to order shortly after 1:00 pm, on Saturday, September 20, 2008, and immediately started by leading the pledge of allegiance, assisted by Chuck Huber. President Anspach then asked for a roll call of members present at meeting. The following chapter officers were present:
President David Anspach, Vice-president Mike Lamb, Secretary John Carson, and Treasurer Eric Davis along with board members Tammy Anspach, Janice snow, and Scott Carlisle.

Paul Prescott, Bonnie Prescott, Debbie Hietala, Melissa hammonds, chuck Huber, Judy Wood, Richard Breedlove, Virginia Carlisle, Theresa Huffman, Patti Ochi, Chuck Hietala, Marita Papp, and Grace Millhouse
Secretary’s Note: 7 board members and 13 chapter members were present at meeting, which is enough to hold a quorum. Also in attendance was 1 guest, who is Grace Carlson from TBARTA.
President Anspach called on Grace Carlson at this time to address the chapter talking about TBARTA which is Tampa Bay Area Rapid Transit Authority. The web site is: http://www.tbarta.com.
President Anspach then called on Secretary John Carson for the secretary’s report. John called for any Additions, Comments, and/or corrections at this time. Paul and Bonnie Prescott made the comment at this time, that they noticed the $25.00 that the chapter was going to donate to their family, and they asked that we do not make such donation at this time. Debbie Hietala made the motion at this time that the meeting minutes be accepted, seconded by Marita Pap, motion carried.
President Anspach then called on Treasurer Eric Davis for the treasurer’s report. Eric reported that there was no activity in either account, so the balance for the general fund is $562.44 and the balance for the Jill Carson Memorial Scholarship Fund is $1,305.89. Mike Lamb made the motion that the treasurers report be accepted, seconded by John Carson, motion carried.
President Anspach then called on Janice snow for the Sunshine/Expanding Horizons committee report. She reported that she attempted to contact Charlotte Bogadi by email to wish her well as she has broken her leg. She also stated that she contacted Bonnie Prescott to offer chapter condolences for the loss of her brother. Janice then stated she spoke with Nancy Wedlock who is the supervisor of elections for Pinellas County, and who will also be attending our meet the blind picnic in October.
President Anspach then called on John Carson for the web site committee report. Basically nothing to report, however, Network Solutions our provider has increased services without increasing our annual fee for service. They are now giving us 25 Gigabytes of space along with 500 email boxes.
President Anspach then called on Debbie Hietala to speak on the progress of the wine tasting event, and Debbie filled in the chapter of the planning and final stages of the event. A full chapter discussion followed.
President Anspach then called on Mike Lamb to discuss the final plans for the meet the blind picnic, a full chapter discussion followed.
President Anspach then brought up the topic of the DART contract, and that Yellow Cab is taking over, a full chapter discussion followed. The reservation number is 540-1897, and if you need to talk with Vito, his number is 799-2222 extension 462.
President Anspach entertained a motion for adjournment shortly after 3:00 pm.
